His Beatitude, Metropolitan Paul (Popov), Primate of the Orthodox Church in Lambda, has announced a Holy Sobor of the autocephalous Orthodox jurisdiction for November 1, 2009.
A Holy Sobor is a Council meeting of all bishops currently under the metropolitan's authority and omophorion, and the Sobor will address pressing issues within the Dominion of Lambda. It is clear that although many ethnic dioceses are operative, the Russian diocese has canonical primacy in the nation as the first diocese to establish itself within Lambda.
At this point, no Ancient or Modern Patriarchate, or Autocephalous or Autonomous Metropolitanates of the Eastern Orthodox Churches from within or without the Oecumenical Patriarchate, have recognised the Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Lambda.
