Her Majesty, the Queen is now Sovereign of the Order of Lambda...the highest civilian honour bestowed upon world citizens who promote the goals and ideals of the nation state. Having had much controversy in other Commonwealth nations about several degrees of their particular orders, the Order of Lambda has one degree at present. The designation, O.L. after an honouree's name is the proper etiquette.
It was announced that the first Honours List for the Order of Lambda will be announced by the new Prime Minister on January 1, 2010.
ReplyDeleteThe Order of Lambda is awarded posthumously as well as to living recipients. It is understood that the Governor General should receive nominations for the Order by November 1, 2009.
